Matthew has worked extensively around Australia as a pianist, arranger and musical director, working with artists such as Rob Guest, Christine Anu, Rhonda Burchmore, Rachel Beck and Peter Cousens. He has played for the Australian productions of Phantom, Singin' in the Rain and Mamma Mia. A regular at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Matthew has performed in twelve different productions including Cocktails (BBC Radio) (2004), Whispering with Robyn Archer (2004) and My Blue Angel (2004).Matthew was musical director for Ann Hampton Callaway's To Ella With Love (2005) and has assisted award winning composers Jason Robert Brown Songs for a New World (2003), Richard Maltby and David Shire Closer than Ever (2004), Take Flight (2004), and Andrew Lippa A Wild Evening with Andrew Lippa (2005) and john & jen (2005). Matthew has performed and toured with Flat on your Bacharach since it's inception in 2001 and traveled to New York with My Blue Angel in 2005, performing at 'Don't Tell Mama' & 'Birdland'. The trip also provided the opportunity to work with composers John Wallowitch & David Friedman and a host of respected cabaret performers.
